A Passion for Helping Others!
Specialized in Life Transitions
Life transitions can often feel like the ground beneath you is shifting, and it can be difficult to regain your footing. Whether you’re going through a breakup, dealing with the emotional strain of divorce, or struggling with self-acceptance as part of the LGBTQ+ community, I understand the unique challenges these experiences bring. The emotional weight of these transitions can be overwhelming, often leading to feelings of confusion, sadness, and uncertainty about the future.
Through my practice, I help individuals like you process the emotional complexities of these transitions by using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. These therapeutic approaches are designed to help you better understand your thought patterns, develop emotional regulation skills, and create positive, goal-oriented action plans. I also incorporate family systems therapy when appropriate, recognizing the significant role that relationships and family dynamics play in our lives. Together, we will work to explore the underlying issues that contribute to emotional distress, helping you move toward healing and self-empowerment.
Burnout & Professional Stress
As professionals, we often juggle multiple responsibilities, from demanding careers to personal relationships, and somewhere along the way, we may find ourselves burning out. Burnout can feel like a slow but steady depletion of energy and motivation, and the impacts on your mental and physical health can be profound. It can leave you feeling disengaged from work, emotionally exhausted, and even doubting your competence. If this sounds familiar, you are not alone.
In my practice, I frequently work with professionals who are seeking a discreet, confidential space where they can decompress and process the unique stressors they face. I understand the importance of confidentiality, particularly for individuals in high-pressure roles. My goal is to offer you a safe place to explore the root causes of your stress, reflect on your challenges, and create practical, thought-based tools to help you manage these pressures more effectively.
College & Graduate Student Challenges
For many college and graduate students, academic life can be overwhelming. You might feel like you’re constantly juggling deadlines, assignments, social expectations, and perhaps even part-time jobs. This can leave you feeling mentally and emotionally drained, anxious, or wondering whether something deeper—such as ADHD or chronic anxiety—might be impacting your ability to focus and succeed.
The transition to college life can also bring its own set of challenges, especially if you are moving away from home for the first time or adjusting to a new environment.
I work with college and graduate students who are experiencing these academic pressures and provide them with the tools they need to better manage their time, prioritize their mental health, and reduce feelings of overwhelm. We will work together to identify the root causes of your struggles, and I’ll help you develop a clear path forward that helps you succeed both academically and emotionally.
